In the heart of Arita Town, a lodging called \u201cH\u014dj\u014d\u201d opened in 2024.
It is a resident building constructed during the Edo period 180 years ago, and is one of the \u201cImportant Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings\u201d in Arita Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A river flows nearby, and trees and flowers surround the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Arita Station to the next station, Kami-Arita Station, the distance is 3.5 km east-west. Located almost exactly in the middle of those two stations, it offers convenient access to tourist spots and shopping.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The couple who runs this place are both artists, and primarily foreign tourists are expected to use the facility. The building also features a gallery showcasing their paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and other works. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

They are also preparing to install a kiln for ceramic production, due to their plan to develop an artist-in-residence program for foreign artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When staying here, you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of a typical old Japanese house. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For dining, there is also a Japanese soba noodle restaurant next door, and an Italian pizza restaurant from the same chain is located nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This October, they will open a Mexican restaurant after renovating the vacant house close-by. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
