A jar on the bridge parapet
Have you ever been to a town where you can find many things made from porcelain?
There is actually a place that seems to be like a wonderland of porcelain in Saga prefecture called Arita.
Here in Arita, porcelain was first created at the beginning of the 17th century and has been produced since then.

Thus, this small town decorates itself with so many things made from porcelain, such as handrails, poles, the wall clock in Arita station, lidded jars on bridges, signboards at tourist spots, signs and stools at bus stops, and Art Deco taste decoration on the back streets.
You also might have a chance to see the porcelain basins that brighten up the washrooms. These are some of what you will find in Arita, but there are plenty more.
Come to find more in this porcelain wonderland of Arita.
